TO THOSE WHO HAVE WATCHED the decline and fall of the Los Angeles Times, it should come as no surprise to see the paper assert today that conservatives are happy to see the federal government acquire "Stalinist proportions" in passing legislation that will result in a federal review of the Terri Schiavo case.

Stalin murdered 25-30 million of his fellow citizens.

Congress early this morning passed legislation that has allowed Terri Schiavo's parents to seek a federal hearing that will almost certainly result in the reintroduction of her life support.

Stalinist proportions? I believe very few - except those on the far, far, hardcore left would agree.

This comes from the paper that just two weeks ago acted as a propoganda mouthpiece for the Stalinist regime of North Korea's Kim Jong-iL.

That is what the Los Angeles Times has turned into now - a mouthpiece for North Korea and a hysterical critic of those who would seek due process for a woman being deliberately killed.

One would hope that the few remaining subscribers to this rag will reconsider whether they wish to support it any longer.
