WIRELESS INTERNET: Glenn Reynolds is irritated because his Verizon wireless internet service hasn't upgraded to broadband yet. I was irritated that Verizon had not rolled out the service in the Seattle area yet, so I went with Cingular's service instead. After reading Glenn's post, I'm not so upset anymore. I'm getting anywhere from 80-130 kbps download speeds, depending on the signal quality, which is fine for what I do on the laptop remotely. Cingular already has their 3G broadband speeds in the area right now, but it's sporadic in outlying areas, whereas my current, slower card works everywhere there is a cellular tower, which is good for remote blogging while fly fishing the streams of Western Washington.
