Iran is not even willing to make a starting gesture at resolving the impending crisis over its determination to produce a workable nuclear weapon:

Iran's chief nuclear negotiator has rejected a Russian offer to produce nuclear fuel in its plants for Iran, the latest effort to resolve a diplomatic impasse over Tehran's nuclear program.

Speaking on state-run television Sunday, Ali Larijani argued the offer would deny his nation's right to "be in charge of its own fate" on energy matters.

Which is nonsense, of course. Iran wants total control over producing nuclear fuel so that it can use some or a majority of it for the production of nuclear weapons, while still maintaining the laughable facade of using the fuel for "energy purposes."

Iran's move further provokes the United States, its allies, and in particular the Israelis, who by now have most certainly resolved themselves to the fact that they will have to undertake a military strike, however dangerous, against Iran to delay it, and its highly unstable president, from possessing such an awesomely powerful weapon in the region.
