At this hour, Democrats need nine seats to take control of the House, having picked up six so far, according to CNN television coverage. Over at Drudge, he is predicting that they need five seats, as well as three seats to pick up the Senate. CNN is also indicating that the Democrats need three seats for a Senate pick up as well. It's going to be a long night before we know how all of this plays out. It certainly is not the wipeout that the media has been predicting. There is no tsunami, and there is no Democrat tidal wave indicated at this point. For those predicting another 1994, this does not even approach what we were seeing at this point in the evening back then. Those Democrats who expected a 1994 blow out/tidal wave have to be disappointed at the results so far.
