Poll Favors Revote In Washington; Mystery Voters Found
Great column here on the Democratic party's new slogan - keep counting the votes until you get the result that you want, specifically in the Washington gubernatorial race. That race has been stolen by Democrat Christine Gregoire, with King County "finding" just enough "votes" to put her in the lead. Speaking of which, there were apparently 3,500 more votes cast in King County than registered voters. That did not stop the clueless Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed from certifying Christine Gregoire as governor-elect, despite pleas not to do so until all of this was sorted out.
It's 3 to 1 in favor of a revote for governor in this poll.
Sound Politics blog is doing a great job covering the whole mess, especially here.

Its a bit of a stretch to say "keep counting the votes until you get the result that you want".
However, here is an interesting article on provisional votes getting mixed up.
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politics/2002141050_recount05m.html
"An unknown number of provisional voters, some of whom may not even have been registered to vote, improperly put their ballots directly into vote-counting machines at polling places, King County's elections superintendent said yesterday. "
Obviously this is a situation ripe for election fraud. This election is just too close and Democrats and Republicans are just so bitterly divided nationwide. Did the Democrats have more fraudulent votes than the Republicans? I'm willing to guess that both have fraudulent votes, but that is based upon my observations on today's politcal arena, not fact.
Clearly, the only solution is a revote where no provisional ballots are allowed. Of course now that Gregoire got the result she wanted from the requested handcount (the other 2 counts were automatic), now she is saying that "the idea of a redo I find to be absolutely ludricrous".

She goes on to say: "It's particularly unfortunate we're somehow suggesting these county election officials haven't done their job, when there is absolutely no evidence to support that."
Ms. Gregoire should look at the first link and see that election officials made a huge number of mistakes.
So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a revote.
